Playtime

The equipment outside brings in another dimension for the children to explore.

Story time is enjoyed by everyone as they gather to hear all different tales.

Playtime begins again on the 8-9-10 February, 2011. We look forward to seeing you there.

Three mornings a week, the church rings with children's laughter as they play in a safe and fun environment.

The Playtime Group meets Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during school term from 9.30 am - 11 am.

Each session consists of a play time, morning tea, a story time and a music/song time. We base our activities around themes, with a number of activities relating back to the theme, as well as providing other toys and activities for the children.

In order to assist us with running costs, we ask that each family pay $4 per session, plus bring a packed morning tea for your child.

Our Playtime Program is led by a dedicated team who volunteer their time to provide this service to the families of Hervey Bay and all volunteers are Queensland Government Blue Card screened, in order to provide a safe environment for your children.

Goals of Our Playtime Group

To provide a setting where parents and children can "play" together becoming involved in a wide range of activities, many of which are normally not available at home
To assist in the social development of children. Allowing children to play alongside other children and gain their first experience of working within a group in a semi-structured program
To encourage the building of friendships between children and parents
To provide a relaxed, safe, encouraging environment where all who attend feel welcomed and accepted
To introduce families to the church and its various programs/services
