Missions

 Mission Involvement.

We believe that mission starts in our own back yard and moves out to the world. (Acts 1:8).  Every person who attends our church has their own mission field through the week – at work, school, or out in the community.

“The Harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few, therefore , pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His Harvest” Luke 10:2

HBBC is not a church that supports mission, it is a church IN mission.

Local Mission

Chaplaincy – There are over 600 chaplains in schools throughout Queensland and 7 Scripture Union chaplains serving in 9 schools throughout Hervey Bay. Working alongside other caring professionals, Chaplains care for students spiritual and emotional needs through pastoral care, activity programs, community outreach and adventure-based learning.
Most importantly, SU Qld Chaplains provide a personal point of Christian contact, care and support for students, teachers and their families within their schools. Hervey Bay Baptist Church supports the local chaplains.
